La Señora de Cao: Ancient Power

A poderosa Peruana 🇵🇪 who lived before the Incas. La Señora de Cao named after the town of Magdalena de Cao where she was discovered. She lived and died 1,600 years ago among the Moche of ancient Peru (a thousand years before the Inca) Her mummified body was found in 2005 near Trujillo in the La Libertad Region of Peru. She is proof that a political, religious, indigenous and powerful mujer existed. Her grave included four tall V-shaped crowns and wealth of artifacts, made out of oro, plata, and gilded copper. Her legs and body covered in tattoos of 🐍 and 🕷. This mujer was only in her mid to late 20s when she died shortly after childbirth. You can view her body at the museum at El Brujo in 🇵🇪.
