🇲🇽✊🏽Not to be confused w/ Cinco de Mayo, September 16 (1810) is el Día de la Independencia de México against the Spaniards. September 16 marks the moment when Miguel Hidalgo (Father Hidalgo) y Costilla, made the first cry for independence in the small town of Dolores. Unfortunately within the US people often confuse Mexico’s independence day celebrations with commercialized Cinco de Mayo. Note Cinco de Mayo is not a national holiday in Mexico. ¡Viva México!
