Graciela Iturbide Photography and Empowerment

✨”Mi belleza es Morena como el moreno barro de mi tierra, y beso con los labios la música del sol.” Over the last 50+ years 🇲🇽 Mexican photographer Graciela Iturbide has captured black-and-white portraits across Mexico. One of her main interests in photography has been capturing the role of mujeres in society which inspired her lifelong support of women empowerment. Graciela became one of the founding members of the Mexican Council of Photography and in 2015 was the recipient of the 2015 Cornell Capa Lifetime Achievement Award.
