La Leyenda of 𝐋𝐚 𝐋𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐚 dates back hundreds if not thousands of years. The origins of 𝐋𝐚 𝐋𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐚 is also known to be been linked to the Aztec goddess Cihuacoatl who like La Llorona wore white and by night was heard weeping and wailing. There are several versions of her story but the most widely known is that of a young heartbroken mother who drowns her two children in a nearby river.
