Marie D. De Jesús: Journalism Trailblazer

Congrats to the FIRST LATINA President of the National Press Photographers Association 📸, Marie D. De Jesús!⁠ ⁠ Marie is an award-winning Puerto Rican 🇵🇷photojournalist at the Houston Chronicle, she also volunteered as NPPA’s national secretary since 2018 and served as the organization’s Mentorship Program co-chair.⁠ ⁠ The National Press Photographers Association is dedicated to the advancement of visual journalism – its creation, practice, training, editing and distribution – in all news media and works to promote its role as a vital public service.
