Let us introduce (or re-introduce) you to 👉🏽 Josefina Montoya, the FIRST and ONLY Latina in the @americangirlbrand Historic Collection. Josefina officially released in 1997, thus making her the sixth character in the popular historic collection. Her 📖 backstory: María Josefina Montoya is a nine-year-old Mexican girl living in a ranch near Santa Fe during a time when the area was under Mexico. Her family speaks fluent Spanish and she is characterized as “caring” and “hopeful.” But what’s missing is her mamá, whose death weighs heavily on her heart. While she tries to heal from the loss, she discovers a natural gift for healing others. Who remembers Josefina growing up?
