Zapotec Tehuana Traditional Dress

Traje de Tehuana traditionally worn by Mujeres Zapotecas, from el Istmo de Tehuantepec.⁠ ⁠ El resplandor o huipil de cabeza (headpiece) is used traditionally for special occasions like festivals. The Huipil Grande fans out over the top of the head and behind the back creating a sun-ray effect. It is also known as “Resplandor” meaning “Radiance” in Spanish ☀️
