Bad Bunny Makes History With First-Ever Puerto Rico Residency

Bad Bunny is heading home and he’s staying. This summer, he’s launching a landmark 30-show concert residency at San Juan’s iconic José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum (El Choliseo). Titled “No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí” (“I Don’t Want to Leave Here”), the run will span July 11 to September 14, 2025, making it the first-ever residency in Puerto Rico, and the longest in the venue’s history, surpassing Wisin & Yandel’s 14-show record.

More than just a string of concerts, this residency is Bad Bunny’s musical love letter to Puerto Rico. Named after a lyric from his 2022 hit “El Apagón,” the project embraces themes of cultural identity, resistance, and community rootedness, and his latest album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, dives deep into Puerto Rican folklore and political identity.

In a recent interview with Vogue, Bad Bunny emphasized that this isn’t just entertainment—it’s a heartfelt comeback:

“I think Puerto Rico is underestimated a lot… I want to show—‘I’m Puerto Rican, I’m a jíbaro, I’m from the barrio’… my record is for Puerto Rico”
