𝓣𝓮𝓮𝓷 𝓐𝓷𝓰𝓮𝓵𝓼 👼🏽 the zine that commemorated Chicano culture. Created in 1981 by David Holland, Teen Angels zine was known as the “voice of the varrio”, featuring the artwork, poems, photographs, and essays of Chicanos. Born in Chicago with an interest in Chicanismo, David settled in San Bernardino, California, where he contributed to both Hot Rod and Lowrider Magazine. When Lowrider replaced his centerfold drawings with beer ads he created Teen Angels. For decades, David along with the help of his family, drew, curated, designed, and stapled the zine in his home before officially handing over the operation to his sons, Smiley and Payaso. @officialteenangel @veteranas_and_rucas
